    Tonewulf is an electronic music and visual art project from the foothills of Western North Carolina, USA formed in 2019 and led by producer/multi-instrumentalist Paul Gratton.

    Influenced by groups such as Aphex Twin, Bonobo, Pretty Lights, Boards of Canada, and Max Cooper, Tonewulf creates electronic music laced with skittering downtempo beats, elemental synths, and psychedelic vibes.

    In 2026 Tonewulf remixed “Sleep” by the Atlanta band Academy of Staring Daggers, a panoramic journey into memory and identity.

    In 2025 Tonewulf remixed “One Last Breath” by the Bay Area Band Dear Banshee, a thumping, psychedelic romp through the wake of modern life.

    Tonewulf’s fourth album – The Heavy – was released March 14, 2025 onOblong Square Records.

    Since 2019, Tonewulf has independently released four albums:

    In December of 2024, Tonewulf joined the artist roster of independent record label Oblong Square Records, a label focused on Lo-Fi, Downtempo, Trip-Hop, Chillwave, Ambient, Minimal Tech, Deep House, and Avant-Garde music.

    Tonewulf has also been featured on a number of compilation releases, including the extraordinary chill collaborations EN DARKNeS and Lo-Fi Chronicles with Oblong Square Records.
